ABOUT THE PROJECT
THE PROCESS

The statuesque bias-cut gowns of the 1930s were the inspiration behind this fabulous design. The fabric is a light silk satin and the straps are embellished with haematite crystals. The soft drape of the bodice disguises an under-bodice which is boned to give shape and support.

This gown shows that historical design ideas can still result in a thoroughly modern look.
